The Boonshoft

This is the last Ohio travel blog, I promise. At least for this year. We took the boys to the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery another favorite haunt. Of course there were some antics, some things that were climbed on that should not be, a couple of escape attempts by a certain three-year-old, a million bathroom trips and some broken rules about the height requirements for the climbing net because all of our boys think they are Spiderman. There was also some fun. These are my favorite pictures from the day.

Here's Benjamin and his crew in the mechanic area looking like some younger version of Grease.

Cutest four-headed mutant tortoise ever.

I was going to write, "Here is Tobias pretending to be a mad scientist- which is very fitting," but Tobias is here at my elbow informing me that he does not want me to type his name in association with this picture. In fact, he says, "I look crazy!" and "Enough! Enough! Enough!"

Surveyor Gabe is hard at work.

Plumber Elijah is dreaming of the day when he'll escape from this dank basement and get to be the head plumber at the national aquarium.

David John took his roll as defendant in the courtroom area a little too seriously. That face is asking for a guilty verdict.

The seasonal exhibit area had a really cool thing in which you pretended to be a caterpillar and it walked you through a "This is Your Life!" kind of thing until you became a butterfly at the end and grew wings. You even got to "fly" on a small zipline. Sometimes, though, if you made a wrong turn, bad things happened. Like getting eaten by a bird. Poor Gabriel caterpillar.

Elijah is facing his fears by becoming a fearsome spider. I guess he is Spiderman after all.
