Actually Uncle Sam is ridiculously good at sound effects and weird voices- but that's beside the point. The point is, we all went to Young's Jersey Dairy for a good time and good ice cream. It's kinda a tradition. If you visit my parents you are going to visit Young's.
We were extra generous with our boys this year and let them do the activities that COST MONEY. I know, I know, we are spoiling them. In years past my kindly parents have paid for them to go mini-golfing. This was in turns cute and fun and completely exasperating. Luckily, Young's has expanded its kiddie offerings to include a little play area with slides, a barrel train ride, pedal carts and the beloved carpet slide.
Of course we did the free things too. We played on the tractors and giant tires. I was super brave this year and jumped from one giant tire to the next one which was probably only three feet away but it felt more like ten. We also petted the animals and fed them little pellets. Our boys were pretty darn good I have to say and the ice cream was, as always, delicious. The End.
What? You wanted pictures? Fine.

Most people's kids just climb on the outside of the tractors or, you know, pretend to drive them. Ours climb inside the tractors... |

Evie wasn't entirely sure what to think about the goat. She was a little worried it might eat her shoes. |
|
But she was all about the brightly painted milk pails. |

Tobias loves his Uncle Sam- especially because Uncle Sam is willing to pick him up and carry him when Mommy won't. |
|
David John was very serious about holding Evie during the barrel ride. |

This was after the screaming and fighting about who got to hold the steering wheel. No smiles exactly, but we'll take it. |
|
This carpet slide is soooo fun! |
|
Wheee! Gina and I went down several times too but I don't have any pictures of it. Next time we'll bring back proof that we are big kids at heart. |

Sam the man teaches our boys about physics. More weight is more speed. |
